The Magical Faroe Islands

The Magical Faroe Islands

Bára Bernhardson Thomsen

Capturing the beauty of her homeland, the Faore Islands.

The Faroe Islands remain one of Europe's most remote and best kept secrets. Located in the wild North Atlantic, 320 kilometres north of Scotland, this collection of 18 volcanic islands is an autonomous country within the Kingdom of Denmark. It is a land of green valleys, towering cliffs and beautiful waterfalls, where traditions and cultures have survived for centuries. Bára Bernhardson Thomsen is a Faroese native, whose wonderful photography captures the stunning essence of her home country - as you can see from these amazing shots below!
