Stargazing in Finland

Stargazing in Finland

Oscar Keserci is a photographer specialising in seascapes and nightscapes photography.

We love the haunting beauty of Oscar's nightscape photography. They combine familiar settings with a knowing glimpse of the true majesty and scale of the universe. A feeling is created of being at once very small and insignificant, while also somewhat cosy and at home.

Nordique spoke to Oscar about his work:

"I was born in 1989 in Finland but after that I grew up on the small but beautiful Greek island of Rhodes. In 2013 I decided it was time to change my life a little bit and moved back to Finland. One year after that, I bought my first DSLR camera. I wanted to capture all of nature's true magic, which you can certainly witness in Finland!

I am a self-taught photographer, and I try every day to improve my photography with new ideas and new techniques. I mostly take pictures around Kirkkonummi, where I live and from Rhodes, which I visit every year!"
