A Danish family home
This week Nordique is catching a glimpse of the home of Camilla Palsgaard Balzarsen home and her family life in the beautiful town of Vejle in Denmark.
Camilla: “Our family of five includes me, my husband, Lasse, and our three children. Our daughter is almost nine and her two little brothers are six and soon two years old. We consider ourselves as an active family, who enjoy to spend time in the nature. We bike, walk and play in the woods nearby and run along the water.”
“Me and our family live in Vejle, which is on the west coast of Jutland in Denmark. Vejle is a beautiful place with its beautiful coastline, woods and valley. We love it and think that it is the perfect location, since everything we need is located close to our home.”
“One of our favourite places to visit in the area is Mariaparken - a park in the middle of the city centre were we ice-skate in the winter and have picnics or coffee during summer. We also like to visit the natural playground in Søndermarkskoven. If the weather is bad we enjoy to pay Økolariet a visit – a place were you can learn a lot about the planet on which we live. There is also the Givskud Zoo + we like that so much that we have season pass!”
“Our home is an old villa from 1926 and is within walking distance of everything we need. We live among classic Danish furniture, flea market finds and IKEA solutions. Since we have three children it is important to us that our home is functional and it is designed for functional use.”
“I love our dining room because of its soul. This is where the children always play, where meet up in the afternoons and where we dine with good friends and family.”
