A Home Among The Rocks

A Home Among The Rocks

Scandinavian design and architecture never ceases to delight and surprise us. This minimalistic house is designed by Kolman Boye Architects and is located on the island of Vega in the Norwegian archipelago. This is a beautiful, remote spot that is close to the Arctic Circle, and stands on a promontory looking out on the wild, windswept Norwegian Sea.

This wooden home  beautifully integrated into their natural setting on the rocks. Each is built with large windows that let in the light and really bring the outdoors inside, creating a feeling of levity and space. The interior design is based on traditional Scandinavian minimalism and neutral tones, and is complemented by beechwood fittings in the stunning kitchen area.

A perfect mix of modern design and rustic elegance creates a cosy escape that fits beautifully with the stunning, rugged environment in which it is located. Scandinavian design at its best!
