The Stave - Bleik coastal trail
Enjoy hiking? Then head to Norway and experiences The Stave – Bleik coastal trail in Andøy, which is one of the beautiful coastal trails in Vesterålen. The trail covers a distance of 9 kilometers and offers the most stunning Norwegian nature, hill and mountains, rocky shorelines and beautiful beaches. One of the beaches which is a must visit on the way is Hoyvika Beach.
The hike from Stave to Bleik takes around 5-6 hours, but you can also choose to start midway and instead trek for 2-3 hours towards either Bleik or Stave.
The highest point reached on the trek is Måtind (408masl), where you’ll get a mindblowing view towards scenic Bleiksøya.
If starting at Baugtua you’ll find some great information boards with a map and and overview of sights, and the trail is market with Ts. You’ll trek through a varied terrain of mountain rocks, moors and grassland where it’s highly likely you’ll also get to see some great wildlife.
If you’re choosing to spend the night there is plenty of camping options such as cottages, cabins or tents, there is also good hotel option.
