Copenhagen - through the eyes of Thomas Bille
Nordique has had the pleasure of speaking with Thomas Bille, a graphic designer from Copenhagen. Thomas' main work is the creation and design of websites, magazines, invitations, reports, drawing inspiration from the cutting-edge design and architecture of his home city.
Outside of work, Thomas loves to bike around the city to take pictures via his Instagram @thmsbille. "As a designer I see the world with a visual perspective, and I try to capture the things I find aesthetically beautiful or inspiring. When I get tired of visiting the same areas in the city I try to travel, and draw inspiration from other cities. And that's what started my other Instagram profile @youseful.dk."
"I've started to take the photography quite seriously - together with a couple of friends we are about to launch our second printed guide - The Copenhagen Guide. The first one (Los Angeles) is already out there to purchase."
Thomas lives in the Vesterbro district, one of the trendiest areas of Denmark's capital. "I love living in Vesterbro and being surrounded with a lot of cool places to go for food or a drink. I always get my coffee at two of my locals 'Rist' or 'Den Go'e Kaffebar' [literally - the good coffee bar in Danish slang]. But as a place to go to take pictures I always end up in the Amager area, because of the variety of innovative architecture. Coupled with the waterfront, it can make a great place to take some stunning photos, all year round."
