Norwegian Wild Reindeer Pavilion

Norwegian Wild Reindeer Pavilion

The Norwegian Wild Reindeer Centre Pavilion is located at Hjerkinn on the outskirts of Dovrefjell National Park, overlooking the mountain Snøhetta. it stands 1,200 meters above sea level, and is accessible via a 1.5-kilometer nature path. With its curvy pine core and its full glass facade, the shelter provides ample seating for hikers and is an ideal observation platform from which to spot the herds of wild reindeer that roam the area.

The 90 m2 building is open to the public and serves as an observation pavilion for the Wild Reindeer Foundation educational programmes.

The inside design creates a protected and warm gathering place, while still preserving visitor's access to spectacular views and the feeling of being one with nature.
